Of the 66 applicants who sat for the bar examination in Bismarck, 39 applicants achieved a passing score. This is a 59 percent overall pass rate, compared to 65 percent a year ago.The Committee on Admissions posted the February 2017 DC Bar Exam results on Friday. The overall pass rate was a very low 46% with first time test takers doing better but still barely half with a 53% pass rate. 496 total applicants took the exam this past February, showing a continued increase since DC joinapproved by the American Bar Association (ABA) shall be permitted to take the bar examination. Under no circumstances shall such an applicant be admitted to the Bar without first having submitted to the Director a certificate that the applicant has graduated from an ABA-approved law school with a J.D. or LL.B. degree..
